As a property owner, what discounts do I receive in the ski area?

Massanutten property owners (excluding RCI exchangers) receive a 20% discount on slope-use tickets and season passes (excluding the Special Value Pass). Property owners must show their valid property owner's ID at the ticket window to receive the discount. We also offer an activity Card which you can purchase at the Concierge Desk at check-in which gives you 50% off slope-use tickets (up to 6), 25% off rental equipment, and 25% off group lessons. The activity card is valid for one week during your stay. If you are planning on skiing/snowboarding for the entire week - this is a great deal.

Yes, everyone must have a valid slope use ticket on when they are on the slopes, even if you are only participating in a lesson in front of the lodge.

Can my child just play in the snow? Or, use their plastic sled in front of the lodge?

We do not allow children or adults without the proper slope-use ticket and equipment to sled or play in the snow on the slopes. Sledding is not allowed on any of our trails. However, when there is natural snowfall, Hopkins Park (by the Guard House) is a great location for your children to sled.

Can I ride the chairlift if I am not skiing/snowboarding? (Scenic ride)

We do not allow hikers/pedestrians to ride the chairlift during our winter operations. We do offer scenic chairlift rides in the spring, summer, and fall.

Sunglasses or goggles, hats, and gloves are also a necessity.

How many are in a group lesson?

Our target group size is 6-8 people per instructor. This can vary both ways due to the amount of business on any particular day.

We have found that 4 years of age is a good time to start skiing programs and that 7 years of age is about right for snowboarding programs. For adults, any age is a good time to start either sport. Minimum age for a group lesson is 7.
