The Rockingham County Parks & Rec 2021 Annual Kid's Fishing Day and Special Olympics Fishing Day was a huge success held at Painters Pond at Massanutten Resort! 200 kids caught approximately 1000-1200 fish with 27 trophies being awarded for first, second, and third largest fish (by weight) for three different age groups in each session as well as a trophy for any golden trout caught. A huge thank you goes out to the following people for making this event such a memorable success! 2021 winter was the season of giving and recognition at Massanutten Resort! We asked citizens of our community to nominate someone who was either in need, had gone above and beyond in some way, or had a special story to share by telling us their story in 250 words or less and how they would benefit from or use a $500 Massanutten Resort Everything Gift Card. We received many entries from around the valley and a special selection committee reviewed the stories and selected 10 winners to receive a $500 Massanutten Everything Gift Card.
